NEW ARRIVAL TWO TYPES YELLOW BELLIED TOADS BOMBINA KOLOMBATOVICII & SCABRA

Well I hope they are scabra, lol.

I mentioned 4 Latin names to someone...

Triturus alpestris apuanus

Bombina kolombatovicii

Bombina scabra

Bombina pachypus

Someone returned with four species and two of the above with the possibility of scabra too.

I will have to create another longer list with far more adventurous species and see what occurs?! Hehe!

The pachypus species are my most sought after and definitely not among them but still an extremely nice turn of events all the same and pleasantly surprised and did not expect it.

NEW ARRIVAL OF ITALIAN ALPINE NEWTS - ICHTYOSAURA ALPESTRIS APUANUS

After mentioning that I was after four species of amphibians, just for starters, a few weeks later I was presented with three of the four?!

Oddly his means I have a sneaking suspicion ion their origins and from an old friend I have not seen nor spoke to in a very long time. I do hope we communicate at some point and I wonder if he has changed much.

Hmm I must make up another list too and start mentioning the Latin names to various key people I see from time to time?! LMAO!

Also I do have someone going to Holland with a shopping list and some instructions just prior to Christmas!!

For now here are the Italian Alpine Newts, Ichtyosaura alpestris apuanus...

Icthyosaura! Stupid genus name change makes me think of lizard like fish....or prehistoric fish, lol.

Ohh yeah the Newts!! Lol...

JAGUARS AND JAGGIES CARPET PYTHONS - MORELIA SPILOTA

So titled as some are Jaguar Carpets and the other one looked like it has Jagged markings, lol.

Unusually for me I really do like these but then I have always loved Carpet Pythons! Lol!

BULL or GOPHER SNAKE - PITUOPHIS CATENIFER

More of the new arrivals and there are around 8 of these Bull Snakes, but I dare say they will not be there too long, lol.

I actually remembered these wrong and twice as when the lid was removed while on the floor I first stated 'Oh HOGGIES' to which I heard 'NO' and I said 'Oh wait there Bulls!'

I was also somehow under the impression that these were smaller than Pine Snakes at full size too, lol. Well these youngsters were certainly smaller than the adult female Pine Snake he has in the shop right now, lmao!

EVERGLADES RAT SNAKE - ELAPHE OBSOLETA ROSSALLENI

Couple of my old favourites, unusual among Rat Snakes for me, are these two young Everglade's Rat Snakes.

RAINBOW BOA - EPICRATES CENCHRIA

A real oddball this one!

I have listed it as E. cenchria as this is the only name I am familiar with and cannot recall the Latin of the others in the genus, well it was a long time ago!

As well as the Brazilian and Columbian I have discovered of late that there is a Paraguayan one and of course there could be others but I know little of the differences between the new ones and the 'old guard', so to speak.

Now I can tell you that not far behind the Green Tree Python, Morelia (Chondropython (to the rest of us)) viridis, this is one of my most favourite snakes!! Well the Brazilian one is. Hmm I have four little vivariums awaiting pets....mmmmmm!

LARGE FEMALE PINE SNAKE - PITUOPHIS MELANOLEUCUS

Another in the list of oddities to arrive is this rather large female Pine Snake.

RADIATED RATSNAKE - COELOGNATHUS RADIATA

Another one of the unusual arrivals.

JAPANESE RAT SNAKE - ELAPHE CLIMACOPHORA

A unusual arrival along with a number of other snakes I will put up here over the next few days.

Was shedding too so I will get more photos soon after it has shed it's skin.

 Something...screws up the picture orientation and so often I add pictures on here and they are upside down and yet in Windows 7 and my picture editing programs they are fine?! Damned Google!

BOACONDA - YELLOW ANACONDA x BOA CONSTRICTOR

A quite bizarre and unplanned hybridization resulting in some crazy looking snakes.

Thought you might like a few more pictures before these two return to Corfu and join there siblings? ;)

Oh and just to correct an earlier mistake the Yellow Anaconda that produced these was not the Anxanthic type but a normal Yellow Anaconda.

Me thinks one of them needs glasses?! LOL.

MAD BOACONDA HYBRIDS

Now here is something and though I have known the owner for years I have wanted to get some of my own photos of these.

Unfortunately I was not expecting these to present themselves under my nose as they did and it was hot, I was in pain and need to leave so was a little rushed. Plus he kep moving his bloody hand, lol.

I also heard there was a great deal of crap going around about these, why do people do that? It does not matte what subject the forum is on you get a large portion chat shit and people into things for 5 minutes are now armchair experts?!

These are hybrids between an Axanthic Yellow Anacondas and a Boa Constrictor and they DO EAT and he has had them for around 4 months or so and I nagged him not to sell them. So far he has not given in either. He also has a place in Corfu near Roda, next to the Church he tells me, if you ever want to visit. It is called Reptilia and listed on Trip Advisor if you type in Corfu Reptilia Roda it should come up?
